Classes for Secondary School age

Scoundrels
Curriculum Year 7 to Year 9 (Ages 11 to 14) - Unleash your talent!

Our Scoundrels class is for all abilities and covers the younger age range of secondary school. A transitional class, ideal for those starting out in Secondary School but still has the challenges needed for those in Year 9. The classes are the perfect blend of creativity, confidence-building, and fun. Each year, students explore a variety of theatre styles—from improvisation and character work to physical theatre and scripted scenes—developing not just performance skills, but also communication, resilience, and teamwork.

With plenty of laughter and opportunities to express themselves in a supportive environment, students grow in confidence both on and off the stage. Each year the students rehearse for a fully-staged production, giving every performer the chance to shine and showcase what they have learnt and how they have grown. Whether your son or daughter dreams of the spotlight or just wants to try something new, this is a fun, rewarding hour and half of their week where they can make new friends and can have the chance to just be themselves.

Miscreants

Curriculum Year 7 to Year 13 (ages 11 to 19)

Our Miscreants class is for all abilities and covers all year groups in Secondary School. These classes offer a dynamic, inclusive space where young people, who love performing, can come together, express themselves, and grow. Whether they are new to drama or already passionate about the stage, they’ll feel right at home among like-minded peers. Each year, students explore a wide range of theatre styles—building skills in acting, improvisation, devising, and character work. Should our annual production warrant it, then we also offer the chance for our students to take part in exciting masterclasses from stage combat to clowning, mask work to physical theatre.

Classes are fun, supportive, and confidence-boosting, helping students develop not just as performers, but as individuals. Each year, the young people rehearse for a fully-staged production, performed in professional theatre space, giving every student the chance to take part in a show and celebrate their achievements. Whether our young people are thinking about acting as a profession or whether they are just using the skills to help build your confidence and teamwork skills, this is a great place to do all that in a fun and creative way. But they are more than just performance - they’re about community, creativity, and finding your voice.
